Introduction
Nowadays it's almost as if everybody's after a piece of the mousemat pie, and our friends over at XTrac Pads are no exception. Founded by a team of gaming aficionadoes, their designs are geared towards a simple, inexpensive set of solutions for comfortable, low friction surfaces for all our mousing needs; gaming or otherwise. As the saying goes, it's by gamers, for gamers.
Let's get one thing straight here; when it comes to mousemats there is little room for innovation or originality, so it's usually a case of "seen one, seen 'em all." For this reason it's up to the manufacturers to find some way to cater for a certain kind of customer. Have Xtrac done so with their Fat Mat fabric mousemat, or is it just another overpriced piece of cloth?
